Their Original Dark Ginger, a traditional drink from the Tyne, has been produced by the Wright family through several generation since the 1800s. The present owner, John Wright has extended their range from his base in Oxted to cordials, crystallized ginger, jams and ginger cake amongst other gingery goodies. Ginger has long been used as a health remedy for everything from nausea to digestion problems and colds and ‘flu, but it is also loved simply for its warming and spirit-lifting flavour. John has since branched out into other health-giving cordials including zesty Bob Flint’s Real Lemon and, the super-fruity Wrights Original Very Cherry.
